Honestly, if you want my opinion, I use my voice memos app on my iPhone and since it has transcription capabilities that’s a plus for me too just a thought. I do echo the last posters suggestion on getting a 10,000 MAH battery pack. I have a 2120 I think it’s 20,000. M MAH battery pack I just can’t remember the brand I have unfortunately but it’s really good and it’s MagSafe on my iPhone so that’s great. I don’t have to worry about extra cables. Either the easier the better in my opinion do what works best for you is my motto. Sorry for any dictation errors. Sincerely, Chela Robles — Certified Literary Braille Transcriber Sent from my iPhone

Either make sure your battery is charged or spend $20 or $30 on an external battery, maybe something with 10,000 MAH or even 5,000 MAH. A 5,000 MAH will essentially double the battery life of your iPhone, 10,000 will at least triple it or more. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Tony Sweeney Sent: Friday, September 12, 2025 5:25 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Need advise on recording interviews I understand the iPhone app the Just Press Record is reputed to be a good choice with Full voiceOver support for visually impaired users Tony On 12/09/2025 22:06, 'Richard Turner' via VIPhone wrote: > The Zoom H1, H4, and H6 Essential hand held recorders have spoken menus and > do a very good job recording. > The H1 is the least expensive at about $99. > Jonathan Mosen did detailed reviews on his podcast a year or two ago. > Many of the Olympus models also have spoken menus. > > They both use triple A batteries. > I think the Zoom H1 Essential comes with rechargeable batteries but I'm not > sure. > Regular Triple A batteries give it 8 or 10 hours of recording time. > Depending on the iPhone model you have the Voice Memos app does an excellent > job as well. > > > > > Richard, USA > “Reality is the leading cause of stress for those who are in touch with it.” > – Jane Wagner, from The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe. > > My web site: https://www.turner42.com > > > > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of > Manan Trivedi > Sent: Friday, September 12, 2025 1:15 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Need advise on recording interviews > > Hello all। > I need to do some interviews for which I will need a recording device। Those > who have been this kind of thing, do you suggest I use an iphone or a stand > alone device। I am in favor of the latter because then I don’t have to worry > about Iphone battery running out। So, can someone suggest what accessible > option is being preferred by people with blindness to do decent recording? > I will appreciate your suggestions। > > Best regards > > manan > > Sent from my iPhone > -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
