Very good Richard.

I had always until now associated OneDrive with only windows but it's also an IOS and android app too.

I would use the iPhone Voice Memos app and put the money into a portable power

record.
Or, the $4.99 Just Press Record application which I have used until my iPhone
16 Pro and the updated iOS 18 that allows Voice Memos to record in Stereo.
The sound quality is excellent!
It is easy to upload the files with either app over Wi-Fi to OneDrive on your
home Wi-Fi network, or to DropBox over any Wi-Fi network.
It isn't fast, to transfer the file, but it works.
Then you can download it to your computer for editing.
I have been using Voice Memos to record concerts and it works quite well.
Interviews should be a snap with it.

Thank you richard and every kind soul that replied. If anyone of you uses a
microphone with iPhone for recordings, I will also appreciate your suggestions.
I am going to explore zoom and olympus devices as welll, even though for most
of my needs, iPhone should suffice. I am considering stand alone devices if I
need to record longish meetings and conferences.
Thanks again everyone.

The Zoom H1, H4, and H6 Essential hand held recorders have spoken menus and do
a very good job recording.
The H1 is the least expensive at about $99.
Jonathan Mosen did detailed reviews on his podcast a year or two ago.
Many of the Olympus models also have spoken menus.

They both use triple A batteries.
I think the Zoom H1 Essential comes with rechargeable batteries but I'm not
sure.
Regular Triple A batteries give it 8 or 10 hours of recording time.
Depending on the iPhone model you have the Voice Memos app does an excellent
job as well.

Subject: Need advise on recording interviews

Hello all।
I need to do some interviews for which I will need a recording device। Those
who have been this kind of thing, do you suggest I use an iphone or a stand
alone device। I am in favor of the latter because then I don’t have to worry
about Iphone battery running out। So, can someone suggest what accessible
option is being preferred by people with blindness to do decent recording?
I will appreciate your suggestions।

Best regards

manan
