Yes, in the Alexa app, not on the box.
Ta da! I just figured out how to use the swipe left to delete.
Do a one finger triple tap and hold, when you hear the tritone, slide left,
lift your finger and do a quick flick right, a delete button magically appears,
double tapping it deletes that notification.
I vaguely remember having done that somewhere else and it just came back to me.

Honest, no. I have not called Amazon. I have had such consistently
unsatisfactory results when doing so at least with respect to anything having
to do with e Accessibility, I sort of gave up on them. I’ve had bad experiences
with that for years.
When you say you ask Alexa to delete the notifications, I assume you mean the
box, not within the app? Or did you mean the Alexa in the app? The other thing
is, the instruction to swipe left to get rid of the notification an absolute in
accessibility thing. And I’ve seen other things where they tell you to swipe
left to get rid of stuff. If you’re using VoiceOver you can’t do that so there
should be an alternative, such as double tapping holding and bringing up a menu
or something and having delete in there or the action button.
