Truth be told, Ben, I'm not a fan of the Arabic voice either, but it sure beats a blank. There are a couple of other Arabic voices in the Acapella voice set, but I don't know if you can get those for Mac. Haven't tried. And you can't have them on ios, because Apple won't let 3rd party stuff like that in to whatever level it must access so you could use vo with those voices. Not sure the Arabic ones are that much better than the one we have, but maybe. I find it amazing that the Arabic voice does as well as it does, given the lack of proper voweling in regular text. I was, however, surprised that it messes up some Qur'anic pronunciations, as I'd have thought that text would be fully voweled. Maybe it doesn't recognize the vowels.
