You are mainly correct. If you have a braille display with a keyboard, you can 
type in grade 1 Arabic braille quite easily. You need not explicitly change the 
input method. In my experience, as soon as you change to the Arabic voice 
through the rotor, your braille will change to Arabic and you can start typing 
immediately. Make sure contractions are off and you will be typing in grade 1 
just as in English or another language based on the Roman characters.
