be careful though, because if you don't lift your finger quick enough it'll keep going

Don't know how you got two pages on your home screen, typically you can only fit I think 16 things on the iPod. You have two choices:

1) Go into Settings, find the Reset button down at the bottom of this screen. Double-tap reset home screen layout. That will restore your home screen to the factory layout.

2) Your other option is to move the apps manually back to their proper page. Double-tap and Hold on the app you want to move. Slide your finger to the right edge of the phone and hold it there to move up to a higher page, or slide your finger to the left edge to move down to a lower number; the iPod will make a warble sound and it will speak the page number it is moving to. When it arrives at the page you want, lift your finger off the phone. You may need to move the app as it will be on one of the row edges, but you can then move them around within the individual page. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lauren Simmons" <simmonslaure...@gmail.com>

Thank you Cheryl as this definitely works on the IPodTouch 5th just as you described, but now I've done it! I became a little too bold and tried it on the Home screen. I ended up with 4 pages on the Home screen rather than my normal 2 pages. If you can help with this I'd appreciate it. To be precise, I'd say I need help moving icons from X page back to page 1 of Home screen.

Okay, I have an iPhone and I haven't seen the iPod you have so I hope this helps.

When in the app switcher on the iphone, you double tap and hold on any application in there. You'll hear a sound effect, kind of ascending tones, and it should say "editing apps". Then you double tap any application to remove it from the app switcher; it may say "double tap to delete" but don't worry; it isn't really deleting the app. When you've deleted the ones you want to delete, you can either double tap "dismiss app switcher" or you can press home which takes you to the normal mode of the app switcher where you open apps; another press of home takes you back to the home screen. I would think it would be similar on your ipod.

Hth.

Hi all,

How to I close any apps found within the Apps Switcher? For example, if I quickly press the home key twice I'll open the App Switcher and find that there are 4 items in there: Settings, weather, App store, and Safari.

I'm assuming these apps are using up resources, so I would like to close them.

I'm using an IPodTouch 5th. ...Can't believe the reliability of these Apple products--they're very stable.
