Navigon updates are kind of free. You can opt to pay for more frequent map updates as I understand it. I don't like Navigon because here in Portland, OR, it thinks the city is Lake Jeanclia, which may explain why so many addresses don't show up. I've deleted the app and reinstalled it and it still shows the wrong city name, yet the yo-yo's at Navigon insist their maps are fine.
