And your Breeze was how much? I believe $800 is about right? If you buy the Seeing Eye app on a 3-year subscription, that means $800 divided by $130 = 6.15 which means I can renew my Seeing Eye subscription 6 times for the price of the Breeze and at 3 years per renewal this means 18 years. How likely do you think it is you get 18 years of service out of your Breeze without updates? I used to have a Trekker Maestro and Humanware told me map updates were $100 back then. I wonder which company is more greedy here and I also wonder whether the maps on your Breeze will be as up-to-date in 3 years as the ones the Seeing Eye app uses.
Anyhow, I think this discussion is pretty well exhausted. I doubt any argument will change your hostile attitude towards Sendero and while you and everybody else is of course entitled to their opinion, I think if you did look at it objectively the numbers speak for themselves. You are incorrect assuming that I bought a subscription. I downloaded the app and when I found out how outrageous and costly it was, i certainly did not buy a subscription. I immediately went to the rating portion and told them how I feel. The app has been deleted from my phone. By the way, the apps you refer to are a one time fee. I've had my Navigon for 2 years and have only paid the cost of the app. I works just fine. A few bucks every now and then to upgrade the maps is reasonable, but certainly the price they want for a yearly sub is highway robbery. I just don't have that kind of money anyway, they wouldn't get it if I did and there are other good alternatives. Actually, I'll stay with my Breeze and support a company that is not blatantly greedy. I'm glad you find the app to be a good one because I would hate for someone to spend that kind of money and not like it.
