Hi Raul, I attempted to contact my AT point person concerning the Apex, but I only received their voice mail. However, this is my logical side of my brain speaking, because I have had to instruct my sighted husband on how to do things on his iPhone. I am much stronger then he is in navigating and performing all sorts of stuff we do. Since your client's wife is sighted and comfortable with using the iPhone, let your client handle the braille display side of it. The steps will be the same, but the sighted gestures would be the only thing that would change. Recently,I needed to instruct my husband on how to find out how much memory he had left on his phone. He was able to follow along, as I gave him the verbal directions. I would believe this would work in your case in pairing the braille display to the iPhone. HTH.

I'll update the list when i find out for sure. I unfortunately haven't been able to check this yet, but I will know soon enough. PS, I like the way you wrote later. It came out as lat[ because of the left bracket being the er sign when you type Braille. ,smile>. -- Raul A. My guess off the top would be that you can't do this, but I thought I'd ask. I don't have anyone around who can help me figure this out on my own. So here goes. If you are in a situation where you want to pair a Braille display with an iPad or iPhone, but let's say that you are doing this remotely over the phone and the person who will be doing this is sighted, can this be done without Voice Over running? I'm in a situation where a client of mine isn't comfortable enough with the iPad just yet but wants to pair the Braille display with it. So, he's having someone sighted help. This sighted person isn't very tech comfortable, but can do regular gestures and has her own iPhone in fact, but knows nothing about Voice Over. So, I figured that if I can walk her through pairing the display with the iPad without Voice Over running, I wouldn't have to do on the spot training of Voice Over. If it can't be done, then of course I'll do that, but I was trying to avoid extra work. >>>> >>>> Thanks much. >>>> >>>> -- >>>> Raul A.
