You can't unless you email the text to your iPhone or get it there some
other way. If you want to have access to text files on your computer, I
suggest you use Dropbox. You could make a folder in your Dropbox folder
called Notes and add text files into it. These would then show up on your
iPhone and you can open and read them. If you want to edit them you could
use apps like Elements, see link below:

Remember, you don't need this if all you want to do is read your files,
Dropbox itself will do that nicely.

I thought you could only put so many words in each note on the native
notes app. Good to know.
I use simple note which also works well. I'm not sure if the words
simple note are written together or not. I think there's a paid and a
free version, but it's been so long since I got it that I'm not sure
about that either. Anyway, you can add to a note over and over. I use
it for all sorts of things like things to pack, or just ongoing
information.
