the 12mp example i used is for explainatory purposes only. In fact, i stated very clear is 12MP Compact digital camera, not 12mp iphone camera. Photography apps or not does not change the physical hardware of a piece of hardware. Those are use to enhance the image, it does not improve the pixels counting. What i was trying to say is that, it is not just the pixels count for photographs, it is much more complecated than that. Why do i know this? As a sami professional photographer, and also having endless contacts that in the professional photography field and graphic pre-press field, i think, i do understand a little as to how cameras work.
