I guess you could argue this way, but you could also argue that the lock screen is more like an area and that all other home pages are like an area, hence 1 of 1 and 2 of 1. Of course then you could say why can I not lock my phone by swiping right to left from the first home screen. But maybe it's just terminology. The Canadian weather app Degrees can, for example, display the current or felt like temperature on the badge icon. However, Apple places restrictions on what can be displayed, so first of all it can't display a negative number if it is below 0 and second, the temperature reads the same way as apps in a folder would. For example, if it is 5 degrees, Voiceover would say "Degrees, 5 new items". Well, that also doesn't mean I have 5 things in the Degrees app. Not an exact comparison, but I just said it to point out that sometimes certain wording give us certain expectations. In your case you have 3 home pages so you would expect it to say "1 of 4, but then if you swipe left to right to unlock Voiceover would not say 1 of 2 but 2 of 4 and that is not right either because once you unlock this first screen, the lock screen is gone and you have your 3 home pages only. OK, Christopher, now why don't you just say "Hmm, this makes sense in a way" and agree with me just this once, it would really make for a good end of a pretty good Monday *smile*

As far as I can tell, I have only one lock screen. I have three home pages, so I'm still not sure why I hear one of two pages when I unlock my phone by swiping three fingers from left to right. Are you saying I should think of my first home page as my second lock screen? This still seems like a strange announcement to me.
