The two biggest drains on the iPhone are the Bluetooth radio and WI_FI.. It's easy to tell Siri, turn bluetooth off and she'll say I turned Bluetooth off. Do the same with WI_FI. Those are the two biggest battery drains. So if you have no ear peace connected to Bluetooth and your away from your home network, you don't need the WI_FI either. And, it can quickly be turned back on again when need be.
