Do nothing right now, try again tomorrow. I just tried to download the update as well and it seems extremely super slow. Several times I didn't even get to the licence agreement page, it just sat there after I tapped Download and Install and while it was greyed out and I would have expected the licence agreement to come up, nothing happened. After a while I got a message that the download failed. I finally did get to where I could agree and then it sat at 2% for a long time and now it again says "Software update failed. An error occurred downloading iOS 7.1.1". The only option is a close button. I even tried via iTunes and while iTunes told me there was an iOS update as soon as I plugged my phone into the computer, it then just sat at the screen where it showed me the message "Contacting update server". I assume that as it is evening now and a few million people are seeing that there is an update the servers are hopelessly bogged down and the only sensible thing to do is to wait until tomorrow or Thursday. I guaranty that your quality of life won't suffer in any significant way if you don't get the update done tonight *smile*. But when I double tap on the download and install it doesn't do anything or take me to the agreement page . I can't even get my wy fy to work so I can do the download. I do have wy fy turned on in my phone and I do have a wirerless router hear at home and I use belkin for my network connection with the passcode but it won't even except that. I successfully downloaded the last update with out any problems but this time I'm having problems and I don't know what to do next ? Any ideas?
