My iPhone 5s touch screen stopped working today and no matter what I or my sighted partner did we could not get it to work reliably. It would not even register the numbers for the pass code despite switching the phone off and on again. I connected the phone to my PC running iTunes in order to do a restore from latest backup but I got a message saying I had to turn off Find my phone on the iCloud settings of the iPhone before it would allow me to restore from backup. Fortunately the touchscreen started cooperating again at this point so I was able to get into the phone settings and turn off Find my phone on iCloud before doing the restore from backup. But what if I had not been able to get into my phone? Is there any way to turn off Find my phone from within iTunes while the phone is plugged in? Harry
