It seems odd to think of a Laser printer being small and less than $800. I bought one in 1987 to use for a doctor’s office account I had been doing on a Daisywheel . It was huge, expensive and I think I may still have a drum for it somewhere in a closet. I think, but am not sure that it was an Epson, anyway, after the doctor decided we were superfluous, seldom used it and it could be hidden here or not, I don’t know.
I just know it was not doing a wonderful job last time I used it. You would need to know, every printer we ever owned from 1981 forward seems to know when I want it and refuses to work. From what I read, they also take up a very small footprint. Whatever you do, I would recommend getting a LaserJet over an inkjet, as they are much less wasteful in regards to toner versus ink use. Also, laserjets print faster, and some of them can even do dual-sided printing.
