Well...I can ping myself (192.168.193.3). I can't ping anything else: 192.168.193.1 (default) no ping 205.235.227.74 (the VM system on the IFL) no ping
I don't have anything within this VM system, as it was just installed. Nothing else I can ping to. To me, outside of VM meant outside of this LPAR. I can't ping anything in the other LPAR or out on the network. Tom Duerbusch THD Consulting >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 10/14/05 2:26 PM >>> The answer to this depends on what "outside of VM" means, in this context. Can you ping anything in the 192.168.192/22 range? (the default router in particular) If you can PING those addresses, and can't ping anything else, I'd say the problem isn't on your end. If you can't PING those addresses, I'd go to your network guy and ask him to draw you a picture of what the network looks like. If (my understanding of) your understanding of the network matches his picture, then you may have to call it in and get some traces for us to look at. But, as far as how your network picture looks in my head, you've configured everything properly at this point. Regards, Miguel Diaz z/VM TCP/IP Development
