I'm not sure I could take jumping directly to a session...too limited
mental capacity on my part.

On the 390 side, I have two TN3270 sessions going with a session
manager. The first one has 32 sessions predefined and currently 9
active. The second one has 36 sessions predefined and 15 active. (In
some cases, I just don't log off or disconnect from CICS, in others, I
either have VSE and Linux consoles running, and various performance
monitors continously running.) I just cycle thru them which also means
I can't forget any of them.

But you bring up a new catagory, a PC based session manager.

At least with PCOMM one can switch between sessions with keystrokes
too, I
use this all day long. Start keyboard tailoring, and assign for
example
Alt-A to jump to session A, Alt-B for session B, etc. It provides even
a
direct jump, something you probably don't have with a S/390 bases
session
manager.
