Ah, but you did have it in the form of VMSHARE. 21 years ago was 1985, if I can 
do the arithmetic. We had just installed HPO 5 and I was in the process of 
preparing  VM/XA SF to be its successor. I relied on VMSHARE even more than I 
do on the current list. That is not to say that the list is less responsive. 
Rather, it speaks to the improvement of VM, itself. Considering that I find the 
list to be indispensable, I must have really been a pest on VMSHARE.

Don't feel too bad.  When I was new to VM some 21 years ago with VM/SP 2.0 I 
made exactly the same mistake.  Only I didn't have this listserver to help me 
out.
