What I've heard is that the FTPGET stage was written by the folks in
Endicott, specifically to support the installation of z/VM 5.2. If that
is correct, then Endicott already owns the code and might be open to a
request to provide document ion and support for it. Or they might
consider just placing it on the VM download page as an example of how to
write a PIPE stage in assembler......
