Since the move of 9672 to z9, my customer's VM systems share the machine 
with z/OS (and they create the IOCP).
When we IPL, we get:
   HCPZPQ6816E Dynamic I/O changes are not allowed because the
               configuration token is not a valid VM token
As a consequence we can no longer use Q LPAR as it says:
      No LPAR data is available
This is in z/VM 4.4; will this change with z/VM 5.2 ?
