Since there is IP over token-ring (there is, I know, I've seen it in
action), it should be no problem: vnc uses IP. By default it comes as TCP/IP
but most home users have PPP/IP or Slip/IP for phone, ADSL uses ATM/IP. I
can continue if you like.

The funny thing is no-one realy understands 'inter' in 'inter-net'. It
stands for 'in-between' hence  it is (can be) ported to almost every
telecommunication protocol. (think of it: vpn is ip/ip....)
