this ping time is DURING a connection, without it, most are about 60-80ms,
TTL about 110

this won't apply for my lan, i guess...
 2-3ms, when connected 20ms tops (and XP doesnt crash without BSOD !!!)
 connection from holland (NL/31) to US is faster than LAN connect...

ping -t www.google.com
216.239.39.99: bytes=32 time=138ms TTL=48
Ping for 216.239.39.99:
Packets: send=166, recieved=161, lost=5 (3% loss).
Min=135ms, Max=229ms, Avg=140ms

got the screendumps on http://vnc.SimBox.NL (uploading files when send this)
also, after disconnecting from my 98 box (lan) it did take about 70 seconds
until the mouse stopt moving, and the black taskbar-icon went white again
!!!
