My first advise is to be honest with him and yourself. Let him know you are keeping an eye on him - for his own protection. Also, what would you do if you found something that you want to confront him with? You would have to blow your cover. Now, really, you don't need to be a peeping tom. Make sure he doesn't have the access permissions to allow him to tamper with the log files and just keep track of them. You could also set up a site blocker and keep adding the objectionable URLs from the logs. I would talk to him about what has been blocked and why, while allowing him a chance to explain why he feels he needs to visit those sites.
