I have had the same problem with tightvnc. I had to go under the firewall and add vnc so it was allowed or it will ask you about it when you start the server side. I also had it reset the password back to the old password too after install of SP2. I have it running on 4 xp machines with SP2 on them. I just did the 4th one today.
I see. I am working with a rather computer unsavvy client and he did not say anything about windows asking if it was allowed to connect (I do not have direct access to the PC in question). Thanks, I bet this is the problem.
