You do not have to measure it, because you assume that whatever the
efficiency may be, it will be the same for the control cell and the cold
fusion cell. You can confirm that by running two control cells at the same
time to see if they reach the same temperature. Irregular heating probably
does not matter either as long as the samples revolve. On average they will
get the same exposure. Again, you confirm that by running two control
samples.
