Microwave ovens are tuned to heat water, so the water content is what
controls how hot food gets. I do not know how it would work with a cold
fusion cell and a control sample. I think you need to make the two as
similar as possible. Perhaps the only difference should be the presence or
absence of hydrogen. I doubt a microwave oven would cause a significant
difference in temperature with a slight change in the amount of hydrogen.
This too can be tested, by testing two cells with, say, iron or sand, one
with hydrogen, one without.
