So, the water coming back into the reactor is at 60°C according to Rossi, and the reactor is producing 1 MW with very hot steam going out through the pipes, and there is no ventilation system in the reactor shipping container, yet somehow the temperature is 20°C cooler than the return water, not to mention the reactor cells and the steam pipes. I suppose because the door is open. Even at that, this is an extraordinarily good AFUE for a device with this geometry, according to HVAC people I have talked to. I doubt it! Since there was no excess heat as far as anyone (other than Rossi and Penon) can tell, it is perfectly plausible that the temperature was ~40°C. - Jed
