Vortex,

Progress is being made on the diode array which is intended to convert uniform temperature ambient heat into DC electrical power by a massive consistant alignment parallel group of diodes which aggregate rectified Johnson noise ( 1 / 2 kTB times efficiency times number of diodes watts ). This results in refrigeration, an absorbtion of thermal nergy, and an equivalent release of electrical power. Mr. Paul Lawrence has made an extreamly sensitive zero offset current voltmeter and will soon take a 32 parallel (first order) 32 series (rows)of 1N34A diodes to a radio quiet area of LA possibly with my financial backer Gary Schultz to see if there is any output. Mr. Tom Schum, an electronics expert in Virginia has tested this array under well shielded conditions and found near micro volt into 1 meg output. A few people are considering using SMS7621 sensitive surface mount Schottky diodes. which are expected to work a lot better than the 1N34A s. The SMS7621 s cost ~ 80 cents for dual diode packages in various configurations. The unconnected pair package has two cathode leads on one side and two anode leads on the other side. This allows buss wire to be forked in and soldered. The dual diodes are ~ 1 /20 x 1 / 20 x 1 / 14 inches. There is also a comon cathode package which fits on a 3 layer Printed Circuit Board and can not be misoriented. I have just paid for work to proceed at the MEMS and nanotechnology Exchange in Virginia to put surface metalization on a Au / GaAs open face diode array of ~10,000 diodes ordinarily accessed with a metal whisker. I would like verification by other experimenters.
