--- Charlie,
At the risk of offending more readers here with
excessive speculation, let me mention that the
Stiffler circuit mentioned in recent threads, could be
very similar to your and Paul's concept- but in a
number of inadvertent ways. That is, similar to what
you are attempting except that the output is found in
visible light radiation, rather than electricity.
He is mixing LEDs, which are of course a type of
diode, with signal diodes together with a reactive
transformer core- along with input from a small
external signal (~50 or more milliwatts) to get more
light out, in photons, than the input power would
suggest is possible.
Stiffler's circuit rectifies a distinct signal, with an intensity far
above ambient; the energy content of the signal (at the diodes) and the
energy out from the diodes is, as far as any evidence suggests, the
same, modulo inefficiencies. The interesting question in Stiffler's
case is, hence, where does the strong signal come from, given that the
input signal (on the other side of the coil) is apparently much weaker
than the signal at the diodes?
Conversely, Charlie is attempting to rectify ambient noise to create a
signal.
This would seem to be a fundamental difference.
