Very good suggestions. 

It looks like the father of the student who built the
"flamer" has connections at Cal (UC Berkeley) and is
going to call in the big guns. This could be great,
given the resources they have.

... or not, given the circumstances. Anyway, several
more identical cells are in various stages of
completion, so this little curiosity is not going away
without a thorough investigation.
