I think it is pretty well agreed by Fleischmann that calling it "fusion" was a mistake.

What it should have been called was "MEH." Mysterious excess heat. Ain't hindsight wonderful?

But it is almost certainly some kind of fusion, unless it's pure hydrino formation, which seems unlikely to me. Ya never know until you know.
