Even a hypothetical "free energy" BLP generator in my basement would
end up costing me something, though presumably a lot less than what
I'm currently paying. I would not purchase a "home generator" without
an accompanying service contract, one that includes emergency 24/7 on
call. Nothing's perfect, and nothing runs perfectly.

Changing the subject, it would not hurt to occasionally perform a
personal inventory on the following issue: It is easy to allow
ourselves to be seduced into a perpetual state of giddy-like
anticipation concerning a number of "free energy technologies." Once
seduced, there's a very good chance we could end up blinding ourselves
to the reality of the situation, particularly if we assume the
anticipated "coming" of these technologies is the only way we will be
able to fix a plethora of pressing global problems. To the best of my
knowledge, none of these so called "free energy" technologies have
panned out. Not a single one. I keep hoping one or two of them will
eventually jump out of the starting gate... but until then, it would
be wise to anticipate the fact that for the foreseeable future we are
all likely to pay dearly to stay warm, as well as to feed ourselves.

With apologies to those religiously inclined, I've seen a similar kind
of "anticipation" that has successfully seduced numerous fundamental
religious sects, such as in the form of the much anticipated Second
Coming, when it is anticipated that when "He" arrives everything from
then on will be honky-dory.

Curiously, the "Grok" persona also displayed classic symptoms of
having been seduced by the same form of "anticipation". His was in the
guise the coming political revolution. The anticipated coming of
communism (or was that socialism? I forget!) was "Grok's" God &
savior. And we all know how easy and reasonable it was to talk to
"Grok".
