To close the loop the pulse generator would probably need to be redesigned to operate at low power and then be powered by the capacitors. Batteries or a power supply are ok for startup but must be removed. The "load" resistor of 50 Kohms is drawing about .013 mW and the resonant coil and capacitor could have a high Q and be dissipating only a few mW. I do not think that any fraud is involved here, only an unexpected power feedthrough from the pulse generator. George
