One of the possibilities that I've started to take note of in the experiments 
where there is an endothermic phase or when the signal is fairly weak is that 
of reversible chemical effect.  I suspect that some researchers too readily 
conclude that LENR has occurred when other explanations have not yet been ruled 
out.  There is an excellent paper by Kidwell and others that goes into some of 
the difficulties [1].
