The definition was given, perhaps not clearly. SWOT gives 5.8 million hits on Google- it is an important concept at least for technology and management. What Rossi does is a technology project; this is the my second SWOT paper on my blog; I am not seeking popularity or trying to impose my opinions. However I think that (technologically speaking) if we do not build a new paradigm, this is a guarantee that after 25 years of failures we will have other 25 years of failures. As a linguist you surely know the importance of professional jargons including the specific acronyms. The problem is - if you never heard about SWOT, there are chances that you don't know, when why, how a SWOT analysis is made - you have no "feeling" for it. The paper is about Threats,\ first of all. It is a strange coincidence that today we were visited by a young graduate student who learned Japanese at the local university and now is working at her PhD- about "THE JAPANESE DIASPORA IN NORTH AMERICA AFTER WWII" *Would you be so kind to give her some advises?* Unfortunately my best Japanese American friend has died years ago, he was a great supporter of CF I wrote his obituary.
The student's name is MEDA PALOSANU. Peter Just from curiosity- do you knew about VUCA?- it is my other acronym based paper Volatility-Uncertainty-Complexity- Ambiguity- 873,000 hits Google but we live in a VUCA World.
