My opinion is that it will matter to the people who can do something with the information. It will matter to people with money to fund research and companies who don't live in ivory towers. It will matter to potential industrial customers of IH.
In the end, I think Rossi will be proven correct with his statement of "In Mercato Veritas" -- "In the market is truth."
