I take that back. I was comparing the screen to a printed version of the photograph on paper. Here's how to compare the two. First display the Acrobat document, then bring up the temperature color bars. (Move them both to the same screen if you two display screens.) I think this side-by-side view shows that the color in the photograph is similar to the light orange around 950°C. Maybe it verges on the 900°C darker orange.
