Okay, and you know the OP is running in a VMware environment identical to yours =how=?

Try being more helpful to the OP and less argumentative with me.  Pretty simple concept.

We're running voyage on Alix boards, using ethernet for network connectivity.
The default configuration has the default route going out eth0, so we don't
need to create any specific routes.
I should add - we're also running voyage in a VMware environment, and don't
need to do any particular config in that case either.
