I think Amiga shareware authors are cautious of being ripped off by lazy
or dishonest persons. It is very easy to set up a shareware registration
site in a burst of enthusiasm. Very few people have the diligence and
honsty to keep such a thing going for years and transmit all the fees
accurately.

Many Amiga programmers have been ripped off by dishonest dealers too.
