Fished the Stilly last Thursday evening.

First bridge below Deer Creek (Sorry dont know the name)

Caught 5 or so in the 9-11" range on Orange Stimi, Yellow Stimi, Elk Caddis.

Found one nice fish that looked 15"+, and I swear I must have put 50 casts
to him, and got him to surface probably 20 times, but no hookups.. It was
the most frustrating thing I have ever done in my life. I was hoping he
would at least spook, and leave me with nothing.. but he kept coming up
every 2-3 casts.. Finally it got too dark to see...

That was the first time I got played by a fish...

"Ill be back."

Fished the Stilly near Fortson hole from 11-1 today (picnic table, I think
it's called). Hooked 6 fish, landed 4, one was a nice rainbow - about 13"
the others were 9" or so, and relatively skinny for August. Water level was

down and it was overcast with a few sun breaks (and showers). I used small
dry flies - caddis, red humpy, adams and baetis (I think). All drew rises.

Nice way to spend the early afternoon.
