Lots of debate has taken place about various Unix ways of doing
backups in Mac OS X. There are several issues still:
- No support for tape drives
- Saving/restoring directory permissions
- Saving/restoring resource forks
Anything other than Retrospect currently would appear to be a partial
solution (and potentially tremendously clunky too).
