Hi Severin,
I used transfer from VCR to my computer also (except I used an analogue
to digital device instead of a camera) and in the end
I settled for an EyeTV that way you are more sure of getting a format
that you can deal with on your computer than maybe you would using a
DVD HDD recorder.
