Any advice please peeplezzz....I own a six month old Mac Pro. For the past three months, my update has given me this message daily. And daily, dutifully like a good little Apple pip, I've done as commanded:
About MacBook Pro EFI Firmware Update 2.0 This update is recommended for MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2010) models. The update resolves an issue where an attached external display may occasionally incorrectly show a purple coloration. The MacBook Pro EFI Update will update the EFI firmware on your notebook computer. Your computer's power cord must be connected and plugged into a working power source. When your MacBook Pro restarts, a gray screen will appear with a status bar to indicate the progress of the update. It will take several minutes for the update to complete. Do not disturb or shut off the power on your MacBook Pro during this update. And then on reboot, I get the the same damn message, again, and again, and again etc...
