Hi Ronni, Susan & Peter

One email for all as I am typing with my left hand.

The message is in the archives, you did not go quite far enough, it was 27 Jul
2012. It was about how to transfer Filemaker Pro from one machine to another
without the installer. In the end I did a Finder copy. It will open my files
but I have yet to find if it is fully functional.

Yesterday's problem had a really simple solution, it was there under the Help
menu if you knew what to look for. That is why I felt sure that someone on the
list must have known this.

In the old days there were usually multiple quick responses to queries. I would
never ask a question if I had to go out because I would not be there to respond
to replies. Now nearly all the queries are answered by Ronni and Daniel. Back
then they answered some questions but there were many others, people who worked
in other fields and lots of retirees. Now a lot of retired people can't afford
to pay so we have lost all their input. That is what I was complaining about.

When I said 'the professionals are too busy' that was a statement of fact, not
a complaint. Ronni took it as a personal criticism, that was not the intention
at all. I don't believe the people who make a living from providing Mac Support
Services should have to answer all our questions for free.

Ronni, Daniel and others provide a very high standard of service, as Peter said
'above and beyond the call of duty', I have never suggested otherwise.

I'm sorry if I caused offence, it was unintentional. I am just a dinosaur who
prefers the old list.

I have had one cheering message from an ex-lister.

Diana
