I use After Effects for animation, manipulating video and the like. The end result, after rendering, is a very large QT .mov file which I then make into a DVD or whatever. The .mov files give QT 10.3 a hiccup "file type unrecognised or damaged" , though QT 7 Pro opens and handles them perfectly. This is not a real snag but I am intrigued. I have an iMac 2.7GHz 8GB RAM and 400GB of free HD plus latest Mavericks. Severin Crisp
