Just another thing I remembered after reading your email again. Are you pressing the "RETURN" key to enter the registered information or the "TAB" key? "Pro" registration instructions clearly state that the "TAB" key must be used. (Once you have entered all of the information, press the Tab key. The QuickTime logo will change to the QuickTime Pro logo, denoting that registration is complete.)
If you used the "TAB" key to register the "Pro" key information and the "Pro" features are still grey, do you actually have a file loaded in a player window. i.e., the "Pro" features cannot be accessed if a file has not been opened in the application since they are context adaptive and must be able to "see" the type of file you wish to edit since the features available may depend on which type of file you are trying to edit.
