many thanks as always for your lucid and interesting exposé of the QTs
10 and 7. I have maintained QT7 Pro right through and have never had to
repurchase the Pro bit since QT7 some years ago.
By way of further information, my After Effects renders are specified as
QuickTime at full quality and are large. Thus a recent 8min segment came out
as a 23GB .mov file that QT7 was happy with and QT rejected. If I set After
Effects to save the render as MPEG4 it comes out as a .mp4 file ( MUCH smaller
) happily handled by both versions. Another factor may be the frame size,
1024 x 768 (4:3) dictated for convenience by the drawings movie format of
Sketchbook Pro on the iPad where some of the material originates. Of course
in MPEG4 the frame size is standardised.
