Hi Barry,

Are you sure you have completed installation - Check 'About This Mac’ - does
it show OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.1?
Did you do the normal preparation before commencing the Update?

Here's the step by step way to update:

 1. Repair Permissions using the Disk Utility on the drive to be updated*
 2. Backup your current installation using Carbon Copy Cloner, SuperDuper; or
Time Machine
 3. Use the Software Update to download and install 10.10.1 (no Combo until .2
update);
     Or Download directly from Apple Downloads
<http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1779?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US> (if you need
to install on more than one Mac)
 4. Re-boot;
 5. Run Software Update as other software updates for your computer may appear,
which you should install. Also some updates must be installed prior to others.
 6. Repair Permissions

If you have TRIM enabled, check to see if it is affected by this update.

Note: ”Combo" updates only roll up the dot releases between major updates. So a
"Combo" 10.10.2 will appear when 10.10.2 is released, because it "combines" the
updates of 10.10.1 and 10.10.2. But nothing before then.
