Hi Tony, And another thread that may help. If you have named any of your photos, you can do a system wide search for them.
Apparently Elements does NOT copy and store the photos within the program, what you see in Elements organiser is just a thumbnail. So, if you are deleting photo files on your Mac you could well be deleting your only copy. http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/pselementscourse/a/pse103importing.htm As Rob suggests, just Googling your problem and going through responses to see if you find something helpful is good advice.
